Michelle should remember what happened last Thanksgiving, but she is a kind spirit who doesn’t hold grudges. Amy is quite a different story. I’ll put some links down in the related comics for you, in case you haven’t been with us for long enough to know what I’m talking about.

Thanksgiving is also the time of new console releases. There won’t be a new Xbox One or PS4 in my house on Turkey Day, but it was a near thing. I cancelled my PS4 pre-order when Watch Dogs was delayed and I realized I didn’t have any games I wanted for it at launch. It was a hard decision, but I think the correct one, especially considering that a number of PS4 early buyers received bricks.

Microsoft fans were certainly smug when the PS4 issues were reported, but now some Xbox One early adopters are reporting issues too. None of the next gen systems have had completely smooth launches, but then few ever do.

Buying a new system during launch is always a gamble. Hardware failure is a fact of life, and when stores won’t have replacements on hand for you due to shortages at launch, it can be extremely time consuming and inconvenient.
