For some reason Square-Enix has decided to not only port Final Fantasy VI to iOS, but also make it easier. As the game had a near perfect difficulty curve on the original SNES, I can’t understand why they would do this. Compared to many other RPGs of the past and present, it required minimal grinding.

It would be nice if this were a setting that could be switched on, but it doesn’t sound like it. I will get the game anyway, but I won’t be happy about it. Besides, having the best SNES RPG (period) on my phone at all times is an opportunity I cannot pass up.

Mike: Those bastards.
Panel 1

Ryan:Who's a bastard?
Mike: Square-Enix. They're porting Final Fantasy VI to iOS. That is my favorite game of all time.

Panel 2:

Ryan: I thought Bubble Bobble was your all time favorite.
Mike: I can have more than one. That's besides the point though. This will be the 5th time I buy this game.

Panel 3:

Ryan: Just don't buy it then.
Mike: I think you've mistaken me for someone with will power.
